Veronica Cangemi - Soprano
Among her recent successful engagements it is worth mentioning: Handel’s Orlando (Dorinda) with Jean-Christophe Spinosi in Toulouse, Versailles and Rennes; Carmen (Micaëla) at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London under Daniel Oren; Idomeneo (Ilia) at the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires; Nedda in a new production of Pagliacci in Dresden; concert and recording for Outhere of Stradella's Santa Editta with Mare Nostrum; Mozart’s Great Mass in C minor with Giardino Armonico and Giovanni Antonini at the International Festival Wratislawia Cantans; baroque concert at the Musikfest in Bremen with Il Pomo d’Oro. Mrs. Cangemi recently returned to the Wratislavia Cantans International Festival singing Le Nozze di Figaro (Susanna) with the Wroclaw Baroque Orchestra under the baton of Giovanni Antonini.
Plans include: Serse (Atalanta) with Ensemble Matheus and Jean-Christophe Spinosi in Budapest and Barcelona; Alcina (Morgana) in Dresden; Don Giovanni (Donna Elvira) in Liège and Charleroi; Vivaldi’s L’Incoronazione di Dario (Arpago) at the Teatro Regio in Turin under Ottavio Dantone; Rossini’s Stabat Mater with the Warsaw Philharmonic under Stefano Montanari in Warsaw.
Davide Giusti - Tenor
Young and promising tenor Davide Giusti attended the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome. He is a recipient of important awards, including Belli in Spoleto, Tebaldi in San Marino, Caniglia in Sulmona and Santa Chiara in Naples. After his recent successes in La Traviata (Alfredo) on tour in Italy, Gianni Schicchi (Rinuccio) as returning guest at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome and at the Teatro Regio in Parma, Il Viaggio a Reims at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, I Capuleti e i Montecchi (Tebaldo) at the Reate Festival under Fabio Biondi (also recorded by Glossa), Nicolai’s Die Lustigen Weiber von Windsor (Fenton) and Nemorino in L’Elisir d’amore in Liège (under Bruno Campanella), La Bohème (Rodolfo) in Reims, the world premiere of Tutino’s Le Braci at the Festival della Valle d’Itria in Martina Franca and at the Teatro dell’Opera in Florence, Don Giovanni (Don Ottavio) in Treviso, Handel’s Messiah in Oviedo, Davide Giusti returned to Rossini’s masterpiece he had already sung under the baton of Gianluigi Gelmetti.
On the concert side, he appeared in a recital in Monte Carlo, in Oulu in Finland and in Beethoven’s 9th Symphony in Mannheim, Munich and Nuremberg.
Future plans include: La Traviata in Liège and in Charleroi; I Capuleti e I Montecchi (concert version) in Warsaw and at the Musikfesten in Bremen with Europa Galante and Fabio Biondi; Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle on tour with the Rossini Opera Festival (Pesaro) in Lima; revivals of Don Giovanni in Ferrara; Otello (Cassio) at the Sferisterio Opera Festival in Macerata.
